Refund & Reversal Policy
Last Updated: September 6, 2026
Growzy operates an immutable double-entry ledger. This document outlines our financial policies regarding deposit reconciliations, withdrawal reversals, and transactional dispute resolutions.
1. Deposit Session & UTR Resolution
When a user transfers funds via UPI to our dynamic QR code, the transaction is credited to their wallet balance upon UTR verification. In scenarios where:
- The user transferred funds but the 5-minute session expired prior to UTR submission;
- The user entered an incorrect UTR digit; or
- The bank switch experienced a delayed settlement;
The user can submit a reconciliation ticket with bank statement proof. Once manually matched by the verification team, the balance is credited via an immutable double-entry ledger transaction.
2. Withdrawal Reversals & Failed Payouts
When a withdrawal request is initiated, the funds are moved from available_balance to held_balance. If a payout cannot be completed due to an invalid destination VPA, bank rail rejection, or compliance review:
- The settlement team rejects the withdrawal with an explicit reason logged in the audit trail.
- The platform automatically executes a Ledger Reversal (
WITHDRAWAL_REJECTED_REFUND). - The full gross amount (including the processing fee) is atomically released back to the user's
available_balance.
3. Immutable Ledger Standard
Growzy never alters, overwrites, or deletes financial records. Every refund or correction creates a linked REVERSAL entry with references to the original transaction ID, ensuring complete cryptographic and accounting transparency.
4. Merchant Disputed Transactions (Chargebacks)
For merchants utilizing the REST API or Telegram bot checkout, end-user refunds must be handled through the merchant's business logic. If a merchant needs to issue a refund, they can credit the end-user's wallet or execute an internal ledger transfer.
